This page outlines the Terms and Conditions that govern your interaction with the GamesKatta website and our rental services. By booking a game or completing a payment, you enter into a binding agreement with GamesKatta (referred to as “we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Service Provider”).
As the “Customer,” “User,” or “Renter” (referred to as “you”), your continued use of our services confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms. These rules apply to the rental of all board games and components provided by GamesKatta and are designed to ensure a fair and premium experience for our entire community.
1.Who can rent?
- You must be 12 years or older to rent a game.
- A valid Government ID proof (Masked Aadhaar, Driving License, or Voter ID) is mandatory for every rental.
- We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe the security of the games is at risk.
2.Rental period
- Rental duration is up to you; however, it needs to be informed in advance while collecting the game.
- Any delay beyond the pre-informed return date will incur a penalty of 1.5x the daily rental cost of the game, which will be deducted from the security deposit.
- The refundable security deposit must be paid upfront along with the total rental cost. After the game is returned and checked by our representative, the security deposit will be returned as per the damage and loss policy mentioned below.
3.Care, Damage and Loss
- Loss of generic pieces (e.g., standard dice) attracts a penalty of ₹200 for each piece.
- Loss of game-specific pieces (unique cards, boards, or miniatures) attracts the full MRP of the game as a penalty.
- Penalties for minor damages to the game box, game board, or any other items will be completely at our discretion.
4.Data privacy
We respect your privacy. Your ID proofs are collected solely for the purpose of security, and we ensure the permanent deletion of the same once the games are returned and the transaction is closed.
5.Cancellation policy
In case a game rental is booked by you in advance (through WhatsApp, the website, or any other channel) and you wish to cancel, please inform us 12 hours in advance. Failing to do so will attract a fee of 50% of the total rental cost for the booked period.
6.Pickup and Return
- GamesKatta currently operates on a self-pickup and delivery system, where responsibility for timely pickup and return rests upon the customer.
- Pick-up and return must be to and from the designated GamesKatta home location.
7.Changes to Policy / Rules / Terms and Conditions
GamesKatta reserves the right to change or modify the policies, rules, or any/all of the terms and conditions mentioned here or on the rental agreement at any time.
8.Dispute resolution
We value our relationship with the gaming community and aim to resolve any issues through friendly and direct communication.
- Mutual Discussion: In the event of a disagreement regarding damage, late fees, or policy interpretation, both parties agree to first attempt a resolution through an informal discussion via WhatsApp or in person.
- Final Decision: If a mutual agreement cannot be reached, the decision of GamesKatta regarding the condition of the game, component loss, or penalty fees shall be final and binding.
9.Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. By using our services, you agree that any legal proceedings or disputes arising out of or relating to your rental or use of this website shall be settled exclusively under the jurisdiction of the courts in Sangli, Maharashtra.
10.Acknowledgement and Acceptance
By using our services or proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the GamesKatta Terms and Conditions outlined above. You understand that this constitutes a digital signature and that you are fully responsible for the care and timely return of any rented games.
